Types of Memberships & Fees

Membership Tiers

The Malaysian Society of Clinical Hypnosis (MSCH) offers membership to individuals engaged in the practice of clinical hypnotherapy, with different categories to suit various levels of training and experience.

 

Membership Types

 

Affiliate Members: For individuals with a Certificate in a relevant field or other persons with an interest in clinical hypnotherapy.

Associate Members: For Diploma Graduates and other hypnotherapists with academic qualifications accepted by the Executive Committee (EC).

Full Members: For Practitioners Diploma Graduates in clinical hypnotherapy and other individuals admitted at the discretion of the EC.

Fellows (FMSCH): This status may be conferred upon Members who have given distinguished service to the profession or to the MSCH. The award is at the discretion of the EC, with a maximum of four such Fellowships being awarded in any one year.

Honorary Membership: Conferred by the EC on persons who are not members of the MSCH but are genuinely associated with the profession and the work of the Society. This membership carries no designating letters.

 

Fees and Subscriptions

The fees are set to ensure the professional and administrative functions of the Society are maintained.

  • A one-time joining fee of RM10 is required for all new members.

  • Affiliate Membership of the MSCH is valid for the duration of the Diploma study.

  • Honorary Membership is complimentary.

  • The annual fee for Ordinary Membership is RM50.00, open to all Malaysian citizens over the age of 25 who are professionally engaged in this body.

  • Life Membership is available for a one-time fee of RM300.00.

  • All annual subscriptions are payable to the Treasurer by the 15th of January each year.

Please note: Any member whose fees are in arrears for more than one year will automatically cease to be a member and will be denied the privileges of membership, including the right to vote. A re-entrance fee may apply for those whose membership has lapsed.

 

Education and Professional Development

To maintain the highest professional standards, the MSCH requires all members to:

  • Undertake a minimum of 12 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) during the registration year.

  • Training from any college recognised by the MSCH Executive Committee is accepted.
